Agero Partners with Hire-A-Hero to Offer Service Providers a Great Incentive to Hire Veterans



Agero has partnered with Hire-A-Hero, a nationwide resource that connects unemployed veterans with job opportunities to help them re-integrate back into the civilian workforce. 

As an Agero Service Provider, all you have to do is donate $5.00 to the Armed Forces Support Foundation for each 30-day job opening you post at Agero’s Hire-A-Hero job portal:

Normally, these listings can cost hundreds of dollars, but Agero has agreed to subsidize the cost to make posting a Hire-A-Hero ad more affordable.
It’s easy to start posting your jobs!
  • Go to HireAHero.Agero.com and click Create Account and fill out the registration form and provide your Vendor ID.
  • Create your company profile by clicking Edit Company Profile under the My Tools tab.
  • Click Post a Job  and then Buy Now for the $5 donation
  •  Fill out the Job Details form fully because this is the information that Veterans will use to find and apply to your job posting.




Once you have reached the Job Cart screen be sure to add posting for all of your target markets by clicking Post a Job and following the same steps above.
Once you have all you jobs created proceed with the Checkout process.
·         Once you have create and successfully posted you jobs you will be able to quickly copy them and simply go and pay the donation fee once a month to keep them active for 30 days.
Then you will be receiving applications from Veterans in no time.

**Two new tax benefits signed into law in November, 2011:

The Returning Heroes Tax Credit is a new hiring tax credit that will provide an incentive for businesses to hire unemployed veterans.
  • Short-term unemployed: A new credit of 40 percent of the first $6,000 of wages (up to   $2,400) for employers who hire veterans who have been unemployed at least 4 weeks.
  • Long-term unemployed: A new credit of 40 percent of the first $14,000 of wages (up to $5,600) for employers who hire veterans who have been unemployed longer than 6 months.


The Wounded Warrior Tax Credit will double the existing tax credit for long-term unemployed veterans with service-connected disabilities.
  • Maintain the existing Work Opportunity Tax Credit for veterans with service-connected disabilities (currently the maximum is $4,800).
  • A new credit of 40 percent of the first $24,000 of wages (up to $9,600) for firms that hire veterans with service-connected disabilities who have been unemployed longer than 6 months.

Tow Times Magazine Hosts Industry's First Video Contests for the Tennessee Tow Show


Tow Times Magazine has two great contests to showcase your creativity for the Tennessee Tow Show!

Contest 1-Recycle Ranger: This is a chance for children 14 years of age and younger to be a video star!  Have your child submit a video no longer than 30 seconds explaining why recycling is important in the world today and how recycling can create a positive impact for our future. The deadline for entries is September 11 and the winners will be announced at the Tennessee Tow Show, September 19-21st.
First Place Prize: 2 Adult Tennessee Aquarium Tickets & 2 Child Tennessee Aquarium Tickets
Second Place Prize: Remote Controlled-Truck

Contest 2- Hot Diggity Jams: Create a jingle for the Tennessee Tow Show being held September 19-21 in Chattanooga. All you need to do is write a jingle and submit a 30 second video of your song. Winners will receive a Tennessee Dinner Cruise for 2. There are no age requirements for this contest, however all entries must be submitted by September 11th.

Contest videos will be posted on the Tow Times Facebook page, and Tennessee Tow Show website.

Agero Best Practices: How to Submit for Secondary Payout Reimbursement


Are you wondering why you haven’t received your secondary reimbursement or if you submitted for it properly in the first place? Chances are, we may still be waiting on your payout receipt!

For proper reimbursement on Secondary Payouts, please be sure to follow these simple steps:

1)     When returning from a Secondary Tow that involved a payout the first step would be to submit the payout receipt to Agero as soon as possible. 
      PLEASE NOTE: IF WE PRE PAID YOU WITH A CREDIT CARD FOR THE RELEASE CHARGES, WE STILL REQUIRE A COPY OF THE PAYOUT RECEIPT FOR OUR RECORDS.

2)   Prior to sending the payout receipt to Agero please make sure the Purchase Order Number is clearly written somewhere on the Payout Receipt. Additionally, please include the words “ENTER MANUALLY” on the receipt. By including the words, “ENTER MANUALLY” you are informing Agero that a payout was made and that reimbursement is needed.  (THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT STEP IN THE REIMBURSEMENT PROCESS) – If you were pre-paid with a credit card for the release charges, simply fax the Payout Receipt with the PO Number hand written on the receipt (WE REQUIRE THIS RECEIPT FOR PAYMENT OF THE TOW)

3)    Promptly fax the payout receipt to: (781) 306-8092 or you may scan and e-mail the Payout Receipt to vimsclaims@agero.com

4)     Log onto Agerosupport.com and click on the Submit Invoice Link


5)    Select the PO from the Select a PO drop down menu and fill out all appropriate fields.

6)    If applicable- click on Additional Charges- select Advance Charge from the drop down menu then enter the dollar amount of the Advanced Charge

For Example: If your advance/payout fee was $125, choose the following: Select Service 1: Advance Charge: $125

7)    Please enter your total invoice amount into the Total Invoice Amount field. (Your tow cost + your Advance Fee)

8)    Click Submit Invoice
